21st – 26th January 2020
On Tuesday we woke up at 5:30 AM to go to the international airport in Vietnam. It took us 45 minutes to get there. We arrived at 7:45 AM and went through security. We had some breakfast I had a tasty pancake while my brother had some French fries. Then we went to the boarding gate, to catch our flight. The flight was delayed for 25 minutes. When we boarded the flight, we decided to play a game. 3 1/2 hours later we landed in Singapore. We made a way to the immigration lines, which took forever to get through. Daddy collected the luggage and then we hopped in the cab to Robinson Rd to our Air B&B. (When we opened the to our apartment, we saw a pretty view of the city).

After a long day of travelling, we were hungry, so mom and dad went to the famous—Telok Ayer food market, which was conveniently located right across the road. Many vendors are selling a variety of delicious food. My favourite food was Satay beef and Chinese spring rolls. Once our tummies were full, we could finally jump into the private pool for a late-night dip as mom and dad enjoyed the view and chilled outside with us.
We woke up at 7:30 AM to explore Sentosa island. We had to take the MRT. It was super-fast, noisy and a little bumpy to Vivo City. Before we went to Sentosa island, we found the most amazing Pet Lover store in Singapore. We bought some toys for our two adorable guinea pigs. We took the purple monorail to Resort World Station. Excitedly made our way to the S.E.A. aquarium. I loved the Pacific Ocean life, especially the manta ray, dolphins and seahorses. Our next stop was Universal Studios for some fun rides. We went on the Treasure Hunter perfect for families then jumped on the Canopy Flyer, which was terrifying. I felt like I was going to fall out of my seat because it was going super-fast. We went to cool off at the water park, where we relaxed in the lazy pool pretending to be floating turtles.
That night we headed into town to see the iconic Merlion statue, explored Gardens by the Bay and watched the beautiful light show. Then we walked to Marina Bay and watched the impressive firework show. The fireworks sounded like lightning and thunder; it was terrific.
On the third day, we adventure to Kampong Glam Haji Lane, the Singapore Muslim Quarter, the street buildings brightly painted, and the little shops sell a variety of quirky items from jewellery, hats, clothing, souvenirs and gifts. Then we headed to a busy Chinatown and bought a beautiful Christmas decoration for our tree.
On our final day, we explored the Botanical gardens; we spotted three iguana lots of terrapin and many birds. We also explored the orchid garden, which was beautiful. We had breakfast. Mom and I shared a delicious waffle with melted chocolate drizzled over it.
I enjoyed Singapore because the food there was delicious the people were friendly, and there were many unique sites to explore.
